STEP 8: Follow-up

After your show or after your tour is done, and after you have had a little rest, make sure that you follow-up with your hosts.  I like to send thank you cards.  Keeping in touch makes future opportunities more likely.

Also, be sure to take the time to fill out the Post-Presentation Documentation Spreadsheet – it can feel tedious, and I know I often put it off, but this info can help other bees to visit good hosts when you cant.

Before you begin planning your next tour, make sure that you have saved and organized contact info for all hosts and helpers, anyone who you missed this time around, and anyone who checked the “host the hive” box in the guest book.  You can rapidly expand your contact list after a tour, and this will make your next tour even better!
